RepLock

This Privacy Policy explains how RepLock ("we," "our," or "us") — a product of Joopi LLC — collects, uses, and protects information when you use our iOS application and website (replock.io). By using RepLock, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We do not require you to create an account, and we do not intentionally collect personal information such as your name, home address, or phone number. However, certain information may be collected to operate the app and improve its performance. This may include:

  • App usage data (features accessed, session frequency, tap interactions)
  • Crash logs and diagnostics
  • Device information (device model, iOS version, language settings)
  • Subscription and paywall interaction data
  • Onboarding preferences and in-app settings (challenge level, body area preferences, physical limitations, workout preferences, lock schedule settings)

If you enable Screen Time / Family Controls features, RepLock may also store information necessary to operate those features (selected apps to restrict, schedule settings). This information is used only to provide the blocking and habit-flow functionality of the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use information collected through the app to:

  • Operate and maintain RepLock
  • Deliver the app's habit-building, session, and scheduling features
  • Monitor app performance and stability
  • Diagnose bugs and crashes
  • Understand general feature usage and product behaviour
  • Improve the subscription and paywall experience
  • Improve the overall user experience

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your information for third-party advertising.

3. Third-Party Services

RepLock uses the following third-party services:

  • RevenueCat — to manage subscription status, entitlements, and paywall presentation
  • PostHog — to analyse product usage, feature interactions, and app performance

These providers may process limited technical and usage data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We use these services to operate and improve RepLock, not to sell your data.

4. Screen Time / App Restriction Features

RepLock may request access to Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls features in order to help users restrict access to selected apps during self-defined focus or discipline periods. If you grant this permission, RepLock uses that access only to:

  • Apply user-configured app restriction settings
  • Manage lock schedules you create
  • Support the app's habit and session flow

RepLock does not use Screen Time permissions for advertising, tracking, or surveillance purposes.

5. Children & Minors (COPPA / GDPR-K)

RepLock is not directed at children under the age of 13.

  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.
  • If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly from our records.
  • If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has used RepLock, please contact us immediately at [email protected].

For users aged 13–17: RepLock requires a parent or guardian to review and agree to our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy before a minor uses the app. By permitting a minor to use RepLock, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy on their behalf.

EU/EEA users: In jurisdictions where the applicable age of digital consent is higher than 13 (e.g., 16 in some EU member states), we require parental consent for users below that threshold. Please check your local requirements.

6. Data Storage and Retention

Some data used by RepLock may be stored locally on your device (onboarding selections, session history, schedule preferences, and app settings). Analytics and diagnostics data collected through third-party services may be retained according to those providers' retention settings and policies.

We retain data only for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or as required by applicable law.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Because RepLock does not currently require account creation, we do not maintain user accounts with associated personal data. Most data is stored locally on your device, which you can clear by uninstalling the app.

California Residents (CCPA): You have the right to:

  • Know what personal information is collected about you
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell personal information)
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

EU/UK Residents (GDPR/UK GDPR): You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification of inaccurate personal data
  • Erasure ("right to be forgotten") in certain circumstances
  • Restriction of processing
  • Data portability
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests

8. Lawful Basis for Processing (EU/UK)

For users in the EU and UK, we process personal data on the following lawful bases:

  • Legitimate interests — for analytics and app improvement (PostHog usage data), where our interests in improving the product do not override your privacy rights
  • Contract performance — for subscription and paywall processing necessary to provide the paid features you subscribe to
  • Consent — where you have actively granted permissions (e.g., Screen Time access)

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Links and Third-Party Sites

RepLock may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Revised" date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
